Complex Parts & SERVICE ManAGER - Complex

We are seeking a Complex Parts & Sales Manager to oversee and manage the operation of the Parts and Service departments ensuring effective and efficient business and marketing practices.

What you will do:

  • Manage a team of Parts and Service Managers
  • Oversee the Precision Farming Team Managers (AFS)
  • Takes the lead in sharing best practices and implementing common processes  throughout the Parts and Service Teams
  • Optimize the use of our business system including reports and analysis.
  • Maintain effective department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Supports the overall company strategy on aging inventory through promotion and marketing equipment utilizing monthly flyers and online auction portal.
  • Maintain a goods pricing strategy to meet financial objectives on parts and service. (Maximizing group purchasing power)
  • Work in conjunction with management to oversee CIH “Pinnacle” program.
  • Oversee distribution and completion of PIP, DAR and PDIs.
  • Harmonize rate lists across the complex used to set up DIA kits.
  • Manage the achievement of the “Equity Program”
  • Meet with parts and service leadership to effectively provide strategic direction on achieving EOI’s KPI’s.
  • Help develop strategies & direction to the parts and service leadership to meet the organizational objectives.
  • Initiate and lead bi-annual (or as required) complex parts and service team meetings and virtual meetings when large order programs are released.
  • Ensuring that the parts, service and AFS teams have a harmonious relationship with the other departments in the Dealership. (Sales, Spray and Application teams etc.)
  • Conducting yearly performance reviews with the leadership team members
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring and development to train and retain key talent. This could also include attending Job Fairs, School visit etc.
  • Coach team members on how to achieve goals
  • Monitor competitive activity and price comparison
  • Oversee and monitor to ensure the service and parts team attends necessary training programs.
  • Attending training, seminars and meetings as required
  • Support a strong and positive culture within the teams
  • Promote and support a Health and Safety environment in our dealerships.
  • Act as a liaison with CNH Corporate Service Representative.
  • May be required to fill in the role as Service Manager (vacation or sick leave)
  • Additional work assignment may be added at the discretion of company leadership

Work Expectations:

  • Traveling between location is required and may include overnight travel
  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport

What you will need:

What you will do:

  • Assist customers and technical staff promptly, politely, effectively and with a smile

  • Keep the parts department neat, clean and safe at all times
  • Everything else that is required to run a very busy parts department

Key Responsibilities:

  • To establish and maintain relationships with existing customers and call on new potential customers.

  • Provide friendly, helpful and prompt customer service.
  • Listening to customer needs, help to find a solution with the right product, and provide a smooth transition through the purchasing process.
  • Providing quotes to customers accurately and promptly.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork associated with the sale.
  • Follow up with customer after sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and expand our current customer base.
  • Demonstrate and train customers in equipment operation when required.
  • Help promote other services available within the dealership.
  • Attend supplier product training when required.
  • Establish and maintain good working relations with suppliers.
  • Attend trade shows, seminars, community functions as required.
 

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Post secondary education in agriculture or agriculture business is an asset.

  • Previous sales experience in agriculture in an asset.

  • Test and replace electrical components

  • Utilize electronic service tools for diagnostic purposes
  • Record details of repairs made and parts used

What you will need:

  • Agriculture Technician licence or third year apprentice
  • A strong working knowledge of farm or construction machinery
  • Willingness to self-manage and make sound decisions
  • The ability to climb ladders, kneel for long periods of time and lift over 50 lbs

  • Clean driving record
